The compressor varies its speed instead of switching on and off, so it holds the temperature steadily and draws less power once the room is cool. For a unit running most of the year in Dubai, the difference over a fixed-speed model is meaningful.

We look at the room, work out the capacity it actually needs, and agree where both units go. Where the outdoor unit sits matters as much as the tonnage, so we settle that before quoting rather than discovering the problem on installation day.
Indoor unit anchored, outdoor unit bracketed, insulated copper run, drain line set to fall, and the electrical connection made. Anti-vibration mounts go on as standard, because the noise complaint is much harder to fix once everything is sealed up.
Refrigerant charged to the specified weight, drain tested with water, and the unit runs long enough to confirm it is actually cooling. We check the supply air temperature before we pack up, then show you the controls.

Split AC Installation Mistakes We See and Prevent
Most of the split units we are called out to repair have a fault that started on installation day.
The previous unit may have been incorrectly sized, or the room may have changed since it was installed. An undersized unit runs constantly and never catches up; an oversized unit cools quickly, then shuts off and leaves the room clammy.
Pushed against a wall, sitting in a closed service cupboard, or discharging straight back into its own intake. The unit cannot dump heat, so it runs hot, works harder, and fails years earlier than it should.
It happens more than it should, usually because the obvious route was the easy one. Water sits in the line, backs up and comes through the ceiling a few weeks later.
Refrigerant should be weighed in to the amount the manufacturer specifies, adjusted for the pipe length. Guessing it on gauges is how a brand-new unit ends up not cooling properly.
Copper that is not properly insulated sweats in Dubai humidity, drips inside the wall and loses cooling on the way to the room. You will not see this one until the damage shows on the paintwork.
An outdoor unit hanging off plasterboard or unrated fixings vibrates and eventually moves. Rated anchors into solid substrate, with the vibration checked before we leave.

How long does it take?
A single wall-mounted unit is normally half a day. Several units in one property run into a full day. Multi-split systems depend on the pipe routing, and we give you the timing with the quote.
Do you supply the unit, or only install it?
Both. If you are buying it yourself, speak to us about the size first. Wrong tonnage is the one thing we cannot correct at installation.
What size split AC do I need?
It depends on the floor area, ceiling height, glazing, and orientation. As a rough guide, a standard Dubai bedroom is usually 1 to 1.5 tons and a large living room 2 to 3, but a room with a lot of west-facing glass needs more than its size suggests. We work it out properly at the assessment.

Yes. We recover the refrigerant properly rather than venting it, dismantle, move, reinstall and recharge to specification. Worth knowing that a unit already several years old sometimes costs more to move and reinstate than it is worth, and we will tell you if that is the case.

Will my manufacturer warranty be affected?
Manufacturers set their own terms, and poor installation is a common reason a claim gets refused. We install to the manufacturer’s published instructions and give you the commissioning record, which is what supports a claim if one ever comes up.
